Seamless Ring Forging
Seamless Rolled Ring Forging is a specialized metal forging process used to produce high-strength, seamless rings with excellent structural integrity and consistent grain flow. The process begins with a solid metal billet that is heated, pierced in the center, and shaped into a donut-like preform. The ring is then rolled between driven rollers and mandrels to gradually increase its diameter while reducing wall thickness.
Seamless rolled rings are widely used in industries such as aerospace, oil & gas, wind power, mining, power generation, railway, and heavy machinery manufacturing. Typical applications include bearing rings, flanges, gears, valve bodies, turbine rings, pressure vessels, and wheel hubs.

Our Seamless Ring Forging Capabilities
Compared with casting or machining, seamless rolled ring forging provides superior strength, improved fatigue resistance, reduced material waste, and better mechanical performance under high-pressure or high-temperature conditions.
1. Material Preparation
We select high-quality alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals based on your application requirements.
2. Heating and Piercing
The billet is heated to forging temperature and pierced through the center to create a hollow preform ring.
3. Ring Rolling
The preform is placed on a ring rolling mill where driven rolls and mandrels gradually expand the ring diameter while refining the grain structure.
4. Shaping and Sizing
Axial rolls and forming tools are used to control wall thickness, height, and ring geometry for precise dimensions.
5. Heat Treatment
Forged rings undergo normalizing, quenching, tempering, or other heat treatments to achieve the required mechanical properties.
