Cold Forging
Cold Forging
Cold forging is a metal forming process performed. During the process, metal billets or wire stock are placed into a die and shaped under extremely high pressure using presses or hammers. Unlike hot forging, the material is not heated above its recrystallization temperature, which helps maintain tighter tolerances and a smoother surface finish.
Cold forging is widely used for manufacturing high-volume precision parts such as bolts, nuts, shafts, gears, fasteners, automotive components, and hardware parts. Common materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and bronze.

Our Cold Forging Capabilities
At FLUIDO, we provide complete cold forging solutions from material selection to final inspection. Our streamlined manufacturing process ensures high precision, consistent quality, and cost-effective production for custom forged parts.
1. Material Preparation
We select suitable raw materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, or copper based on your application requirements. The material is cut into billets or wire stock before forging.
2. Tooling and Die Design
Our engineering team designs precision dies and tooling according to your drawings, tolerances, and production volume to ensure accurate part formation and long die life.
3. Cold Forging Forming
The material is shaped at room temperature using high-pressure forging presses. Depending on the product structure, processes such as cold heading, extrusion, upsetting, or coining may be used to achieve the required shape.
4. Trimming and Secondary Processing
After forging, excess material is removed and additional machining, threading, drilling, or surface finishing processes are performed if required.
5. Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment
To improve mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, we can provide heat treatment, zinc plating, powder coating, polishing, galvanizing, and other surface treatments.
6. Inspection and Quality Control
Every cold forged part undergoes strict dimensional and quality inspections using professional testing equipment to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
7. Packaging and Delivery
Finished products are carefully packed to prevent damage during transportation and delivered on schedule to support your production needs.
